The Rivertowns Table Tennis Club plays six times a week in the villages of Tarrytown, Ardsley, and Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, just north of New York City. (See our Hours.)

Players of all skill levels are welcome, from beginner to expert. Members range in age from early teens to 70s and include both men and women. Several players are USATT-rated over 2000. Professional instruction is available for an hourly fee.

The Club was founded in 1999 in Hastings-on-Hudson by Steve Zeitlin, one of the country's leading folklorists, and Stefan Kanfer, a best-selling author. Their goal was to provide a place for friendly competition among table tennis enthusiasts in lower and middle Westchester County. Today the members also include a cartoonist, a crossword editor, a nanny, a train repairman, a toy inventor, a child psychologist specializing in autism, several high school students, and an eclectic mix of other occupations.

The Tarrytown facility has six tables and, of the three sites, generally the highest level of play. Ardsley and Hastings have four tables each and a more relaxed atmosphere. About 15-25 players play over the course of a typical evening. Newcomers are welcome at all locations at any time.

Club membership is $100 / year for adults, $50 for children under 20. The fee covers play at all locations and nights. The first night is complimentary.

Here is a list of 104 US Table Tennis clubs where I have played as of July 17, 2010. To the best of my knowledge I hold the record for playing at more US Table Tennis clubs, located in more US states, than anyone else in history. An article I wrote on the subject, when I had played at 62 US clubs appeared in the July/August 2009 USATT Magazine. No one has challenged my record then or since.

To contact me to discuss this list or anything about Table Tennis, please call my number on the bottom left.
