Equipment
A regulation paddle has a rubber surface, with a red side and a black side. Balls are 40 mm in diameter. (Older
balls are smaller than this, and some sporting goods stores still sell the non-regulation size.)
Two good paddle sources are Paddle Palace, which offers products from many
different manufacturers, and KillerSpin, which sells mainly their own
brand. Both give discounts if the club places a large order.
Expect to spend between $25 and $50 for a recreational paddle, or $75 to $100 for a high-performance, custom-assembled
paddle.
